10 years post op and having complications. I need recommendations for a specialist

I have had ongoing swallowing issues and severe reflux.  My most recent scope, with a new gastroenterologist, suggested that my original surgery completely eliminated my stomach, attached the RNY at the top of my stomach instead of the usual spot, and the angle of the stoma prevents emptying from my esophagus.  She feels no surgeon will touch me, which is probably true in my community where there are no bariatric specialists.  I'm looking for a bariatric specialist who might be able to correct some of the positioning of my anatomy, to allow food to start to pass more freely through the gastroesophageal sphincter.  I don't imagine there are others who have had this experience on here, but does anyone know of a surgeon covered by MSP, that might do revisions done by other surgeons?  My surgery and post surgery panniculectomy were performed by the same surgeon (in another province), and I'm not happy with either result, so I don't want to go back to him.

Thanks.

Is there anyway that you could get a referral to Dr Nguyen or Dr Sampath at Richmond Hospital or Dr Malik in Victoria?

They sound like they would probably be the best and understand the type of surgery you have had.  Im thinking that given the nature of your issues you maybe able to get in sooner than if you were going for your initial visit.

Good luck.  Let us know how it goes.

I ended up connecting with Dr. sampath's office and they will review my records before deciding on whether to bring me in for a consult.  Thanks for the suggestions.  If that doesn't work out, I'll start moving down the list.
