Riding MUNI post-op (Where my San Franciscans at?)

Can any San Francisco folks give me advice on how easy or difficult it is to ride MUNI 1 week post-op of a VSG? I take the bus to work, and I'm a little wary of riding it so soon after my surgery. My commute isn't particularly hilly, but it is a little crowded. Any advice?  

Get a cane and look like you NEED it. Usually you will get a seat and that will get you around until you feel more on your feet ; -)
