NUCYNTA....anyone tried for pain?

I've got a new pain management DR. who suggested i try NUCYNTA for pain since Darvocet has been taken off the market. I've got SOD issues and have tried Ultram  and Percoset---neither were very effective, and had sod symptoms with the percoset.
Has anyone tried Nucynta? I may need knee replacement and need to find a pain med i can tolerate. He said that Nucynta has been used with patients who have sod.
     Any experience with this?
thanks!

It was given to me after one of my plastics procedures and it didn't work well for me. I had to go back to what they normally prescribed for me and that was percoset. I hope that you have better luck with it.

I use Voltaren Gel for my knees and my hands.  It really does work.  You have to be patient.  I apply, then reapply an hour later if needed.

Just a FYI, Voltren is a NSAID and will thin the stomach lining even though you apply it topically.  I just wanted you to be aware. (It doesn't work well enough for me to use it, YMMV)
