Got my Vit D result back today...

32. OUCH. About 7 months earlier, it was 65.2. And here I was afraid I might have been taking too MUCH dry D3 since I have such a long common channel. No wonder my PTH is on the upswing (not high, but increasing). Time to start taking my 50k IUs dry D3 EVERY day instead of every 2-3 days!

Yeah, 65.2 was a great value!   Time to get back on the bandwagon!

Not "back" on - I never changed the amount I was taking! Not sure why it changed so drastically, but at least getting my D up should help bring my PTH back down a bit as well.

Hey, no finger tapping allowed! It's the same amount I've been taking all along. I wonder if there's something I should not be taking with my D that I am that might be affecting the absorption...meh, I'll just bump it up to every day and hope that does it.

And we're leaving for San Diego on Wednesday morning, so I'll have a week of plenty of sun (without the freakish humidity)!

Yup, definitely go to daily and maybe even two a day once in a while!

Ouch.  Or you could take 50k twice a day.

It's a balancing act - there was a time my D was 106, and I believe I was taking the 50k just about every day for that - I never took 2/day. Of course, when my surgeon's office saw 106, they declared it "high" and told me to STOP supplementing! Which, of course, I did not do, but it was clear the amount I was on was INcreasing my level, and I wanted to maintain it there, so I have been playing with my supplementation to try to find the right amount for maintenance. FAIL. Back to increasing  :P

Man, this fine tuning stuff ain't easy is it.  No great guidelines.

good luck, Jenny
