Against all odds... I HAVE BEEN APPROVED!!!!!!

Last time I posted, I was wondering how good the chances are if I keep fighting for a DS if my insurance excludes this procedure but approves the RNY. Well I had my doctors office send in my paperwork for a DS after my last NUT visit on December 22nd.
I actually already started to think about alternatives like paying for it myself since I did not want an RNY.
Today my doctor's office called: I have been approved for the DS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just said "No way" and she started laughing...lol. She said she added a letter saying that she knew that this procedure was excluded but that for my BMI this procedure would make more sense..... maybe that made the difference?
I can't believe it and I am sooooo happy right now. I will get my date this week.

I am going to be on the other side in a few weeks.... yeeeahahhhhh!!!!!

I still feel like crying and laughing at the same time. Now have to wait for the call this week to set up the surgery date. She said in about 2-3 weeks.

Need to get back to reading all the post-op information. There were some awsome tips to help prepare for the hospital stay and the first weeks at home.
