Hernia

I have a hernia (it's huge, in my opinion).  My friend has been bugging me to go to yoga class with him.  Can I do that or am I supposed to be avoiding anything that puts strain on my abdomen?

have you had your hernia checked out by a surgeon? I unknowingly had a hernia, did something a little strenuous(sp) while on vacation and ended up with a strangulated hernia and having to have emergency surgery . So not a good vacation! Just be careful and get your Drs approval first. I currently have 3 small hernias around the hernia surgical site so I am very careful about how much I lift and try not to overdue until I can have them repaired in March.

Right now, I look pregnant.  Not far along, but far enough lol.

I've called and left a message with my surgeon, just to see what he says.  He's aware of it and doesn't seem too concerned since I don't have constant pain with it.

Just thought I'd try here first.

Thanks!

It's generally the small hernias that are dangerous. Mine was huge, too, made me look 6 months pregnant.
