ok..   im now getting frusterated...

the first 10 days post op i lost 13lbs..    that was great...    since then i haven't lost a pound!   i mean seriously???   im tracking my food on myfitnesspal...    im keeping less than 50g carbs.. usually around 60-80g protein between food and shakes...

i just don't get it... im now...24 days post op.. almost 1 month and have lost only 13lbs.      i know in a traditional diet i woudl be happy to loose 13lbs in a month..  but im just really getting concerned that im not going to get passed this stall...   what can i do??  i want to start exercising but the dr insisted nothing more than walking the first 6 weeks...

im just starting to get really frusterated and depressed that i may be failing at this...

sorry for the rant and please don't flame me..  im just really looking for some advice and support!

I think you need to increase your protein.   Add another shake to your day and a spoonful of cottage cheese here and there if you can swing it.

Hi there!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't be hard on yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!

24 days ago, you put your body through some major trauma!!!  What you are experiencing is completely normal in some cases.  You body is saying WTF!!!  It's trying to adjust in order to understand what just happened.

Keep making the right choices.  Also make sure you are getting at least 64 oz of water and make sure you are getting enough sleep.  The weight WILL come off.

You are 13 lbs lighter and 13 lbs closer to your goal weight.  Celebrate what you can control...  Don't obsess over what you can't!

Hugs to you!!!!!!!!!

Hang in there Lucy.  It's probably your body having a break given you lost so much so quickly.  Also why don't you post on Bites n Vites.  It's a daily thread and you can get feedback on what you're having and get ideas from what others are eating too (OK yours may be a little different as you're early out, but I started posting on there from when I was a week out).

Gina/MajorMom the thread starter is pretty good and others chime in sometimes (me included).
