Diarrhea at least five times a day, what can I take to stop it?!?

I have been taking Pepto and various anti diarrhea medications multiple times a day. Is there a certain medication that works?

After my surgery, the Dr. told me an egg a day keeps the diarrhea away. It seemed to work for me. I still get diarrhea at least a few times a month but only as part of normal bowel movements ... meaning no accidents.

Absolutely do not abuse too many drugs with the same effect in one day. Because their different medicinal properties may not be compatible with each other. You should first drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

My has M.S and is mobility chair bound, and can not move very fast at all. He was having constant diarrea. It was a complete nightmare as his wife and caregiver. Finally we told his doctor about it. He perscribed One Imodium, once a day, at the same time. It has been a complete game changer. We both finally have our lives back. He has been doing this method know for almost two years. No side effects, what so ever. He only goes number two every three to four days. Maybe a bit less than a normal person, but it works for him. We get the generic form. Ask your doctor about it.
