I have been approved by my insurance. He did not do my original surgery. Any experiences?

Dr. Macik did my Rou-N-Y three years ago and I have had no problems at all. He is not the most gracious or amiable person to talk to, no great bed-side manner, but seems to be a great surgeon.

I am planning one with him too. Lapband to sleeve. He does it in two steps. I was hoping for one but we discussed the reasons and I feel more comfortable now.

Can you tell what two steps he does with the revision from band to sleeve? I'm considering revision but I my appointment to see him is two weeks away and I want to be prepared to know what questions to ask when I go. Thanks.

He removes the band to give it time to heal and then he does the sleeve 6 weeks later. I went back to my original surgeon's who did my band for insurance purposes. I do not have the best bariatric plan this year. Also my Egd and motility test did not show a slippage or significant damage. So hopefully I can proceed with one surgery.
