Self Pay Prices in GA...Share your experience

My insurance excludes WLS and from what I heard even with an letter of medical necessity it most likely I still wont be approved. (though I'm hopeful) But I figure the next best option is self pay. I wanted to know if you've self paid in GA then how much, where, what Dr and what procedure.  I know that I want to get gastric bypass but if I had to self-pay I would do the VSG because its cheaper and has similar weight loss results. Any feedback would be helpful!!! :)

I'm currently working through my pre-op stuff with Dr. Titus Duncan in Atlanta.  The self-pay package for the VSG is $12,950.     

I just got approved with Dr. Duncan. Surgery date is 6/2/15!

Hi there! I am currently going through the process with Dr Duncan for a conversion from sleeve to bypass. I too am self pay and will be outpatient. How did your surgery go? Did you enjoy Dr Duncan?

I am looking at several places as self pay also.  A dr. I saw quoted  $14000 cashpay.  But still looking.... ..another was $21000 cashpay.    I'mstill looking as price is not the only deciding factor.
