State of Illinois insurance approval for revision

Hello, I am a newbee to this group but had lapband prcedure in Jan 2011. I am going to discuss having my band taken out and having the sleeve procedure done wth my dr on June 19. My husband has healthlink insurance thru the state of illinois, they covered having lapband done but I wondered if anyone has had success in having them approve a revision. Thank you.

State of IL is self-funded. You may want to call your employer and inquire about their policy on obesity. I know years ago when I was paying State of IL claims they did not pay obesity related claims. Good Luck.
