OK I know we're not supposed to eat coconut, but does that include coconut milk?  Thanks in advance for your replies!

 Hmm I've eaten coconut.

in very small amounts ..not a problem.  I would guess it's due to the fibrous nature of coconut.  I don't think coconut milk/water or cream de coconut would be an issue

I've had coconut a few times with no problems -- and have had coconut milk in a Thai dish once with no problems.

Coconut is discouraged because it is fibrous...can cause you to become stuck.  Coconut milk is discouraged (except occasionally) because it is high fat and calorie and goes down really easy!  It is fine as a bit of sauce (maybe a tablespoon) but not too much.  The light coconut milk is much better from a nutritional standpoint, much lower calorie.
