Happy Tuesday--scale talk

Good Morning... Fall is in the air is it not???

well today I want to say HI to all the newbies and old timers...

just a regular work all day for me kind of day....

and let's talk about the dreaded SCALE yet again.

what happens when you get on the scale and the number does not match what you are feeling.

on days I feel THIN and i get on the scale and it's UP it makes my day all colored wrong... magically I'm FAT even if the scale is just up half a pound...

on the days (like this morning) I get on and it's LOWER than I expected it makes me happy but it also makes me nervous that I can really eat what I want still and not suffer the consequences... strikes me as a lousy behavior modification issue...

well like i said before, the scale causes me to feel bad if i don't see what i want to see so the weighing all the time thing doesn't seem to be healthy. if it is going to make you feel that bad, might want to rethink it.

i am finally getting back on track with my eating today. been off two weeks. glad i'm finally climbing back on the bike. i really need to get exercise in regularly to help my metabolism.

My scale sucked this week.  lol

But I am planning to work on that.

It used to be the same for me where I used to get over a lot.  But now I can't everything I eat seams to absorb quite well in my body now.  So yes I definitely have to work hard and this is definitely not the easy way out like I am told all the time.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

I am going to seem like a space alien to the rest of you but I don't think of the scale the same as many.

It shows my weight, yes. But at 3.5 years out I have embraced my new self. This is mostly because my old self does not exist anymore. I dealt with her and she is gone. This new me is all that is left.  Now don't get me wrong. NuMe has as many issues as old me. Different ones, but just as many.

And how this girl feels in her body can change from day to day. Like anyone else, I have days where I feel like a whale, days when I'm bloated, days when I feel good and confident.

I didn't lose nearly as much as everyone else, but seemed to have kept weight everywhere I originally wanted: boobs, butt, hips. I work out because I want to increase my muscle tone (and because it is damn fun).

I weigh once a week and the numbers fluctuate at various points of the month. I cut back when I feel the number is a bit high. Most of the time I make good choices.

So I think I've come to a good place. A bit closer to self acceptance. But I use the scale as a tool. It has no voice in my self-image.

Amazing!  Thank you so much for sharing.   :)  I will work to look at the scale and think of it as you do.

Have a great day!
