yes out of pocket and is paid per km rate by northern travel grant but only a portion doesnèt cover everything unfortunately so yes us Northerners have to save up to make this happen

We get the Northern Travel Grant - don't know how much it amounts to, probably not enough, but we have to go out of pocket first and be reimbursed.
