Update: 3.5 yrs out and post plastics

So October 25,2007 I had RNY surgery with Dr.Starr. In 7 months I was at my goal weight losing 120 lbs.
With having surgery everything changed in my life. I found the courage to leave my husband of 13 years, I no longer was settling.
Moved to Barrie from Milton with my 3 kids, started a new relationship with the love of my life Mark L from the board.
In December of 2010 I had to have my gallbladder removed(more than likely WLS related).
Then March 8 I had my panni removal with Dr.N. It was great, he was great.

I can actually say I am happy with the results, with my accomphlisments and as a treat to myself I had a photoshoot done yesterday.

Thank you, this was something I had dreamed about doing for a long time. And the lady that did my pictures was really great, she loved the story behind it all. Even the makeup lady at Sears enjoyed the story.
Just goes to show how little people really do know about WLS.

I still see pics and reflections of myself and ask who is that, even this far out. But the past is finally starting to become the past but I will always be the "fat girl"!

I would never wish for the qualities of the fat person to hold us back. I think we develop some great qualities such as humour and sympathy - hopefully those types are the only kind that lume.

I agree, too many people after they lose the weight become the " skinny girl" we all hate!
I will always be the self-conscious person, unfortuantely that will never be completely gone. I am however more forward and will go for what I want.
