I'm having RNY.  I like the uneventful part!!  I had to have another endoscopy last Friday, and once the doc injected the meds, it was goodnight nurse.  I woke up in recovery. That's how I hope it goes.

I sure hope it does and probably will.

Make sure your surgeon knows about the procedure you had, because Gagner told me if they put me out for any reason, (anesthesia) then I have to wait 6 months before he will operate.

So please make sure you tell your surgeon.

I didn't think to ask if a specific surgeon was assigned.  I think it depends who's on the schedule for that day.  And I know that sometimes the scheduled surgeon gets switched out with another right before, so it'll be a surprise.  There are 3 doing the surgeries now - Dr. Anvari, Dr. Hong, and Dr. newpersondon'tknowthename!!
