 You have buckets of time to get over it as long as you don't have The Great Flu That Will Bring Down Humanity!!!  Better now than the week before...

 Its not that uncommon to get a cold just before surgery. I'd say it happens to about 20-30% of the people who go through this. 

In a year and a half on this board I've not heard about one person who has had a cold so bad that surgery has been delayed. 

That's encouraging news, because this morning I feel worse than ever.  Going to work to check on a few things, getting chest xray done, then home to bed.  Thanks for the support, all!

As long as you don't have a fever they should still do the surgery, you've got plenty of time.  I'll send some homemade chicken noodle soup for you lol.
