Feeling sorry for myself
I'm just feeling off the last couple of days. I feel like I could eat a horse, but just a few bites fills me up. Trying many things to sooth myself, but none of it is working (I even deviated and ate a little piece of rice krispie square - that backfired, won't do that again). I think I might be coming down with something - tired no matter how much rest I get, stomach sometimes off, not much energy (have forced myself to walk 45 min/day the last few days). The scale seems to be stuck at 67 lbs. Just want to curl up someplace warm and stare at the TV with my eyes shut. Just needed to post a "poor baby" to myself in hopes of shaking myself out of this mood. Have a good weekend, everyone.
Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora. Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.
((((HUGS))))
I was where you are last weekend. I got into a funk and seemed like it would never pass.
Focus on the positive. You've lost A LOT in a short period of time. Think of all the things you can now do - how much better you feel.
Are you getting enough iron? I was exhausted all day long & then I added Proferrin & I'm not sluggish anymore.
I hope the cloud will lift soon. Stay positive

I see my GP in a week and a half for blood work results. Will ask about iron, but when I had last visit to the bariatric clinic, all that blood work was in great shape. Funk is a good word. That's exactly how I feel. Good to now it'll pass - don't get this way often.

Hi Megan, we all feel like that sometimes and really, you should take some time to curl up and rest, you need to take care of yourself!! Two things that my doctor surggested to me when I felt like this a week or two ago was to 1. exercise anyway, even if tired and 2. Have blood work checked
I hope you feel better soon.

i totally know the feeling. Here's hoping that something will shake the mood. Try doing something nice for yourself, (not food related) maybe a pedicure or manicure or something. and maybe you do need some time all snuggled up in a blanky with a nice hot cupof tea...mmmm imma go make some tea for myself right now. Can i get you a cup?
I found this great Sugar free Apple Cider, made by "Alpine" (also comes in the sugary variety)
which works wonders in the comfort-and-warm-blankie department.
\i think it must be the seaon for feeling blah, because I'm the same.
My eurphoria at the great initial weightloss has settled down a lot now that I'm stalling, so that doesn't help ...
But the dark mornings and chilly starts to the days are really getting me down.
