out of the hospital after surgery
My surgery as they say was uneventful and only took 2 hours. The workers at St. Mike's are great, all very nice but at the end of the day it's a hospital and i never sleep in a hospital. So it was so nice to hear you can go home now!!!! I am required to stick around Toronto for a day or two just to be safe but i'm ok with that, came back to the motel and had the best sleep i've had in days. I have little to no pain more like a bit of discomfort so have no intentions on filling prescription for painkillers. Having a hard time with the boost drink and the jello they give tho, omg sweet or what. The first time having the boost i ended up with the foamies which was not fun. Anyways thanks for the happy thoughts everyone and i'm so happy to be on the bench finally with everyone else.
Cheers, Donna

Just wondering about the Boost. The regular boost has quite a bit of sugar in it and caused dumping for me too. Since that time I now buy Boost "Diabetic" as it doesnt have any sugar (uses sucralose) and I can still get 16 gm of protein, plus it is not too thick or a huge amount to drink. I like it for an evening snack.
Have a safe flight home, and let us know how you are doing.
