I had my one week follow up today and so far so good. I lost another 8lbs since surgery!! There is one incision spot that I have to keep an eye on. It has some redness and a bit of oozing so Vanessa/Apsen marked a circle in pen around the redness and gave me a prescription for antibotics. They said to get it filled only if the oozing continues past tomorrow or the redness goes outside the pen line.

Other than that everything went well and I get to move on to pureed foods now. Gonna try a bit of scrambled egg in just a bit!!!!

Don't be discouraged if the scambled egg doesn't go as well as you'd like.  I've noticed over the past year that several people have had trouble with eggs - and particularly scrambled ones - for a few months post-surgery.  I hope this isn't the case for you though :)

Glad things are going so well for you, April.  If you need to fill the antibiotic prescription, make sure that you split the pills if they're big or, if they are capsules, empty them into some applesauce or yogurt.  You certainly don't want to have a medication stick this early out (it's very painful - lesson learned!).

To this day, I can't eat or be near scrambled eggs lol.  I can eat boiled egg, I just chop it up really well.  I think  it's the smell of scrambled eggs that gets me.

April I'm so glad to hear you're doing well!!!

Happy New Year!!

That is troubling to hear about the oozing.  Hopefully it will clear up on its own.  Good to know that you have antibiotics in case it doesn`t.  You do not want to spend New Year's Eve in the emergency room!!

I have tried poached egg and egg salad, both went down very well.  Haven`t tried scrambled as yet.  Good luck with it!!
