Heard back from nurse re: gas/cold/excercising
Aspen just called from the WMC. She said just as others have said on here...some people unfortunately just take longer to release the gas that is left in there from the surgery. She recommended that I continue the Gas-X Strips, continue the walking...and putting something warm on my tummy. Gosh this advice all sounds familiar...you folks on here are just too darn smart lol.
I also asked her about moving forward in my excercise process because I feel I want to do more than just walk. She said as my one incision only fully closed a few days ago she wanted me to wait until Monday. At that point I can start slowly on my treadmill and my stationary excercise bike. She said to keep the incline/tension at a minimum and if I feel any pull on my tummy muscles to decrease it. She advised starting in smaller bits of time and then working my way up as I feel up to it.
As for the colds she said to speak to the pharmacist and tell him I need soemthing without NSAIDS, and if I am going for cough syrups make sure it is okay for a diabetic as this would be the one that is sugar free.
Thank you all for the fanastic advice. Going to put a warm blankie on my tummy now.
