My follow up results from today's appt
Hey everyone,
I just came back from my latest follow-up at the weight loss clinic,
I started Optifast on November 27 which is the time that I would have started to lose the weight...the magic number today for total weight loss is....76 pounds!!! I have lost a total of 13" off my waistline and my body mass index has decreased by 14 points! I must say I was EXTREMELY happy with those numbers but even happier finding out that my blood work all came back perfectly as this tells me that my body is absorbing the vitamins and minerals, which means no more additional supplements!
YAY life is good!!!
Next update coming your way on March 21. Again, I want to thank everyone on this board for your unending support and advice through this journey. It certainly makes the road a whole lot easier to travel!
And I want to apologize for being missing in action for a bit...life just gets in the way sometimes. I promise to try to do better with posting/replying.

You're doing great!
I just want to caution you about something. Just because your blood work looks ok now, doesn't mean your body is absorbing nutrients from your food. You are likely using up stores of your vitamins and minerals, especially during the first year, and deficiencies may not show up until much later. Make sure you retain copies of all your blood work and compare them to one another to see if something is trending down before you actually become deficient. I hope you will still be diligent in supplementing B12, calcium, iron, D, multivit, etc.
