Journey has begun

I attended my information session on Monday @ HRH, and was so happy to learn how quickly they are getting on with the process. I have felt so many different emotions these last few days.
I'm so excited to get to a healthy ME!  I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who has Gone thru Humber River, that would be happy to share the experience with me!!

Hey Tammalyn. I had my surgery at HRRH one year ago (March 2, 2011). I'm sure that other people who are presently going through HRRH will also respond to this. I've had a very positive experience through the whole thing.

I'm glad that you've made this choice. Please use this time to educate yourself as much as you can about the risks and benefits of the surgery. This forum is an excellent place to get to learn people's personal experiences, and links to resources you can use to educate yourself.

I went through Humber too. LOVED it! I was SO happy with how quickly I went through the program and they were great at the hospital too. The nurses really know their stuff there!

ETA: I had Orientation on March 7th, 2011 and surgery on July 27th, 2011. Only 5 months from start to finish.

Yes I was surprised at how fast they seem to be getting people thru the programm. I'm glad to hear they know there stuff!!  Wow 5 months, thats quick.. Thanks for response!! .

I am also going through HRRH, the ladies there are all great and very helpful and soo nice
Dont be afraid to ask them any questions or concerns you have
I had my orientation Jan 16 and my surgery is Mar 27, everything has been going very quickly and hope it goes the same for you aswell, Good Luck and All the Best
