Day 1 of Opti did not go well...TMI
Yesterday was my first day of Opti and I was actually looking forward to it...not having to plan my meals would be a nice change.
The morning went fine...had a vanilla Opti and some cucumber and then a salad with vinegar for lunch...started a chocolate Opti around 2...by 3 I had a terrible headache and was feeling flush...by the time I left work at 4 I was fighting to keep the Opti in my stomach.
I got home at 4:30 and had to have my 10 year old pick the little girls up from daycare 2 doors up because I had to be sick...and sick I was...I don't even know how I had that much in my system. I sat on the chair in the living room after and had trouble keeping my eyes open.
I finally gave in and laid down...I left a message at the clinic but no one got back to me...I called teleheath and was advised to eat a banana...I did and felt a bit better but fell asleep on the couch to the point that I was drooling for over an hour...my hubby had to shake me awake when he got home.
Thank goodness for my 10 year old...she really helped out last night...I don't know what I would have done without her.
I'm trying it again today...maybe my body wasn't appreciating the low carb shock...we will see...I'm going to call the clinic again for advice. My mom is a nurse and when I gave in and told her what was going on last night she said that it sounded like low blood sugar...who knows.
Here's to a better Opti day 2.
