I know I won't be getting surgery until summer 2013, but I was thinking about getting myself one of the Bullets.  Has anyone used one for the puree food stage?.....and how was it?  Also did anyone freeze meals and did they taste ok?

Aww I'm sorry you have to wait until next summer.

I bought a ninja blender a couple months ago at Canadian tire when they were on sale. I heard they are better than the bullet. It has a small bowl canister and a taller pitcher canister with it

I'm OK with it I guess......I was told by the clinic's nurse that they are back logged for this summer that I will have to wait until next because I can't take time off in the school year.  I absolutely love, LOVE being a teacher.....but that said, I wish I could just get it my WLS when there is a spot available for me.  One thing that is good about having it summer 2013 is that it gives me more time to work on the way think about food and change somethigs about my eating.

Thanks for the info about the Bullet & Ninja!

I bouhgt a bullet. Love it for my opti and used it for puree. Sometimes Costco sells them cheap. Wouldnt invest in the extra for the baby bullet. Didn't bother with freezing. when I was on puree would just take a little chicken that cooked for family and pureed that.

I have the Magic bullet Express with the juicer. I use the juicer a lot. I also have the Ninja. If the ninja had a juicer I would scrap my bullet n buy ninja anytime.

I actually have both the baby and magic bullet, don't bother with the baby one, the regular one is all you need, and it will last from options to years of post op for sure

I hated, and I do mean HATED my bullet.  It broke within weeks, stoopid thing.  A good blender is a better investment in my opinion.

I hated the magic bullet as well and gave it away. I find an immersion blender works better at breaking down the ice and pureeing stuff than the bullet ever did and even easier to clean.

As for freezing meals, I froze a lot of stuff and still always freeze many meals. I don't find freezing most meals changes the flavour at all. I made some pureed soups and froze them in 1 cup containers. I would also just blend up some meat and veggies that I had cooked for the family but it was nice having stuff in the freezer.
