Reflections on a Year (warning-pretty long!) pics too!
Congrats to you Megan....
I beauty is not based on our weight size. It is based on how we feel inside. I am approaching one year next month..In my journey I have learned to love all my good things about my body...However the head stuff, well that is why even after all these years I still see a shrink, to help with that.
Day to day...I love my rny just like, But 100lbs is a major thing...
Thanks for posting, great work..
Linda

Megan, you look beautiful. I agreed with the poster who asked how you would have felt a couple of years ago if anyone had told you would be able to lose a 100 pounds and feel great. Working with the will help I am sure and also keep at the program and work the tool. I am sure you will continue to lose albeit a little slower once you sort through some of you feeling. Big Hugs Deb
Megan,
Thank you for your honest post. The head stuff gets us every time! You have embarked on a remarkable journey whose initial successes are heady and many. As we approach the one year mark I suspect (not gotten there myself yet) that the reality of our new body and life takes over and we have to come to terms with a better (but still not perfect) new self. That is, I suspect, where the real work begins.
Thanks for the courage to share your journey, it's ups and downs with us. You have accomplished so much. I hope your heart begins to catch up with your body and you can begin enjoying your healthier new life. Your pics certainly show a remarkable transformation.
All the best,
Andrea.

Thanks for your post, Megan, and by the way, that picture of you and your husband is just lovely - you both look so happy!
I appreciate you being so honest about the struggles you are having even though you know you've achieved some great success! For me, I am completely focused on health and mobility, and while in the past, looks have been the motivating factor for weight loss, now I don't care about the looks part at all.
But once I'm down to, say, 200 lbs, I know that my old pattern of thinking about weight loss and looks will likely creep in, even though I know that many of my other goals will be realized at that point, about fitting into plane seats and other types of seats, about health goals, mobility issues, etc.
So, I'm happy to have read your post, because it's a good reminder to me that just because right now I don't give a damn about the looks part, I need to be aware that it's going to start coming up eventually.
Thanks!

Thanks again for all the kind and thought-provoking comments. Hearing so many different perspectives on my issues really does help, and I am grateful. I know it'll all come together eventually. Journey on everyone!
