5 Days Panni Post-Op

Hi Everyone! I haven't been on in a while, been creeping the boards but haven't posted in a long time. I'm almost 3 years post-op from my RNY and am now 5 days post-op from my panni. Doing well. Just wanted to let everyone know that OHIP is still paying for pannis and mine went unbelievable smooth :)

Dr. Tumi in Barrie did my panni. I was referred to him by my family doc in January. He applied to OHIP on my behalf and by May I was approved. Had my surgery on Sept 20th. Still at home recuperating but I'm bouncing back very quickly. Hoping to have my drains out today and my staples out on Thursday.

That is great news! Do you mind sharing your process leading up to your approval? Did you have a lot of rashes and issues with your panni? Were they documented? You have a very captive audience here.

awesome....congrats that everything went well and for being approved

...I was not and was just contacted by the Appeal Board last week as OHIP had asked for a weeks extension to my case.

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!. Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!
