A New Yummy Discovery!

Tried something new today...3/4 c of plain Oikos greek 2% yogurt with 1/2 scoop of Nectar Fuzzy Navel Protein powder, stirred well together...sooooooo delish and 28 grams of protein.  It was so tasty, not to sweet and very satisfying.  The greek yogurt kinda "cut" the sweetness.

Maybe others have done this but this is my first experiment!!

Hi Ian:

Yeah, I couldn't find it at the store I was at, but intend to keep my eyes open for it as I shop around...does Oikos make a 0% or do you use another brand...thanks!

Hi Kim, sorry for taking so long to reply, I have been traveling.  As Nathalie said Oikos does come in 0%, I think most major brands come in 0% but its not as prevalent as the 2%.  I usually buy PC 0% vanilla and plain, as there is a well stocked No Frills not far from home.  When I see the 0% I usually stock up.  kiss

I also mix SF pudding mix into my greek yogurt like the cheesecake flavour or chocolate or lemon.

I love the idea to put sf pudding in greek yogurt...hmmmm.....

I ordered the Fuzzy Navel protein powder from the Low Carb Grocery Store, online...here is the link

http://www.thelowcarbgrocery.com/catalog/syntrax-nectar-whey -protein-isolate-fuzzy-navel-p-3105.html?cPath=132_222_579

They have some other flavours too, but I haven't tried any others yet...although Carribean Cooler and Grapefruit look good

Thanks for the feedback everyone, and I will keep my eyes open for the 0% Oikos!!!

Cheers,

Kim

Wow, those are good ideas.  Where do you get those flavoured protein powders.

Re 0% or 2% - you don`t have to go totally fat free.  Lots of vitamins ADEK need some fat to absorb, and your skin needs dietary fat too.

ShallowGirl...for the flavoured protein powders...go to the Low Carb Grocery On line...if you order $100.00 the shipping is free. Here is a link to their website...

http://www.thelowcarbgrocery.com/

You can find it by selecting the online shopping tab at the top, then select Protein Mix and Shakes on the left hand side of the page...the ones I am talking about are under Syntrax Nectar...there are a few selections, I have only tried the fuzzy navel.  I hope this helps
