Now that was dumping!
Ok, I ate 2 ryvita crackers and peanut butter and some yogurt, but was watching Obama about the shootings, and was very emotional, and then came the nausea! And then a long visit to the washroom. Not diarrhea, more constipation, but it hurt like hell. I think my emotional reaction triggered it, cause I ate real slow and not too much, but I have learned. I need to stop watching Obama!

Not dumping...more like stuck food. Or mini dump. Still sucks!! A full on dump will somehow turn your constipation into diarrhea. No idea how, but i've been constipated for days, and dumped and out it came, after vomitting, and lying on the floor sweating, heart racing like crazy, feeling faint. Good times. A lesson I have learned three times in my two years!

Yeah, I was joking with my husband that if I ever get really constipated, all I have to do is eat a piece of cake or something. Problem solved!
I was, of course, kidding. Having experienced a small dumping episode and constipation, I'll take constipation any time!

After my first one, I remember saying never again. Then I got constipated so bad....I did exactly what you said. Well, for me it was a lot of sweet, followed by milk.
It's ridiculous, and self-sabotage. Dealt with that in therapy.....totally owned up to it (which was huge for me at the time)

Very upsetting indeed, about the school shootings.
I'm sorry you had nausea! Hope you're feeling better now. I haven't tried peanut butter yet - I haven't gotten up the nerve. I was thinking about trying it tonight, but I'm afraid of the fat content in it.

And sugar content.....depending on the brand. :-)

We are all so very different in our bodies aren't we? I tried adding a tablespoon of peanut butter to a protein shake and loved the taste. I like peanut butter but probably only have it once in a while. The pb that I have is 'light' but certainly not health food status. It seems to satisfy my sweet craving to have a Tbsp. once in a while with a few wheat thins with no adverse effects. Interesting Kelly that you have no issues with dumping until recently. I commend you on your running/exercise regime and all of your hard work. GirlSassy > I may not have dumping per se but I certainly hear and feel my growling, gassy belly if it is not happy. In my innocence I thought that dumping meant only vomiting but now I know better after reading here. I am a new grand mother to a very happy, newly turned one year boy and I kind of compare my eating to his. He is just getting started and I am too! Best thing is that I can get on the floor with him now that he crawling with great speed, and keep up.
p.s. damned gun laws south (47% own a firearm in the U.S.) says it all
Thanks for commending me on all my hard work with my exercise routine....what's amazing is that I don't find it hard work....it's now something I look forward to!!
My first dump was at 9 months out. The other two were somewhere in the year following that. I always thought I had my first dump at 4 months out when I ate a cup of no sugar added ice cream. I didn't get sick or the other end, but my heart was racing and I was on the couch for a good half an hour like that. So I assumed I was a dumper.....guess that's right to assume....but it was nothing compared to the dump I had at 9 months out....total carnage LOL.
It is amazing what some people can handle and others can't. I believe my tolerance lowered when my RH kicked in. For awhile I couldn't have grapes. Now I can again. Our bodies change all the time, it seems!
