I went for a walk - big deal!

Yeah well, it was a big deal for me... i haven't gone for a walk in a long time.

I just walked about 6 blocks out and back... I had to stop at a convenient place to rest halfway, and now I'm all sweaty...

But I think I'll do it again tomorrow.

I'm 2 weeks and 2 days from surgery and I figure a little exercise can only help.

Oh yeah - it's a big deal. Glad to hear that you are feeling well.  Anything that gets our butts off the couch and moving is a very good thing.  Slow and steady early out!  Walking is awesome exercise; just make sure that you don't overdue it.

Way to go!  Muriel

Way to go!  Every little bit helps.  I bet once you start dropping more weight you will be able to do the walk WITHOUT the rest halfway.

Congrats!  It IS a big deal and walking before surgery is a great habit to get into.

Before surgery I was almost immobile. I was walking with 2 canes.  When I realized I didn't need them anymore I cried.  It was great to be able to walk.  What most people take for granted, I was thrilled that I could do with ease!
