Today I ran the Toronto Yonge Street 10km race right down Yonge Street.  I was so hesitant to even go out today and do it because I worked late last night and got home at 1am then found myself up with a stomach virus at 3am and had to be out the dor at 7:30am but I wanted to do it so badly that I pushed myself and went thinking I would just walk if I had to.

The thrill of being in this race focused me and I DID IT!!  I ran the entire 10km and my finish time was around 1 hour!  I started getting tears in my eyes around the 8km mark when I realized I was actually going to finish the race but the moment I crossed the finish line the water works just started flowing.  15 Months ago I was 390 pounds and now I am running 10km.....who does that?  I do apparently!  I love running and never thought I'd ever be a runner unless some crazy clown with a knife was chasing me!  I am currently registered to do the Oasis Zoo 10km Run in September and about to register for the Scotiabank 5km run in October but I am on the hunt for something to run in June, July, or August.

Here is a picture of me about to partake in some post-race fuel at the Eaton Centre with my hubby!
