Could anyone from Guelph please enlighten me as to how many calories I should be consuming at 8 weeks post op.... please!?

I'm good with eating now and consuming between 500-800 calories depending on the day, but after reading through all my literature, I cannot find a set goal to go by.... Any suggestions?

Hi Nicole. When I was at Guelph for my 4 week appt, , I asked the dietitian specifically what the goals should be. Like you there was nothing in our material that outlined it.  She said we should be aiming for 600 - 800 Calories in a day and 60 - 80 grams of protein.    When I asked her about fat and carbs , at this point, she said just focus on the protein and calories  along with your vitamins and water but don't worry about the carbs and fats at this point.

I am also 8 weeks this week as well.  My next appt in Guelph is on May 10 for my 9 week follow up.  I have been tracking everything in my fitness pal and so I will be discussing with them again if I should be worried about fats and carbs now that I see how the typical day is going.

Thanks Dar.... sounds like I'm doing okay then!  I have been quite carb and fat conscious as I tend to gravitate towards things both high in fat and carbs so I was sure to cut them straight out of the way as soon as I could!

Let me know how your 9 week appt goes... mine isn't until late May... I think they messed up the dates... They booked me 9 weeks from my last visit and not 9 weeks post op!?

And awesome job on the weight loss so far.. You are rocking this!!
