Discharge Question
I was in 3 days in Ottawa, but could have left on day 2. A lot of it depends on how you are doing after surgery. If you are doing fine, then they may let you go early (I had 2 young boys at home, I wanted 1 more day of quiet to be sure I was OK).
I'm sure if they let you go before the 3 days, they'll give you time to get your ride there.

I has surgery at Humber last Friday and was discharged on Sunday. Since we were going to a hotel for the night and couldn't check in until 3 they weren't in any rush to send me out the door. The doctor mentioned on Saturday that if everything was going the same Sunday I could go home. I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. Good luck this week. I am sure everything will go well.
Hey there must be getting excited!!! :) I had my surgery at humber on a tuesday at 8 am and was released on thursday in teh am just when my ride arrived I got my hospital card and left !! May I ask who is the surgeon? Dr, Klien?

Had surgery on Thursday and was D/C on Saturday. If all goes well - then that is the way they go.
And yes they will give you notice - but not "that" much. LOL.
You can ask them for the heads up the evening before - then they already have an idea. (as well as you will have an idea then too)
