Hi everyone, I have read many posts where people are talking about  "Couch to 5k"

I am interested in finding out more about this, if someone could offer some input, a link or whatever I greatly appreciate it.

I did have a knee replacement 2 yrs ago, but I am willing to try and give this a shot if it will assist my WLS for sure.

Thanks all.

You might also want to check this out - it's a free podcast that you can download, you don't have to pay for it, and it's not an app, so you can just stick the files on your music player and go.  I believe this is the one that Julia P. has been using.

Just want to throw it out there, that though running is great, if you have joint pain, it can be hard on your knees. I love running and it's a pretty big part of my life, but it is now just starting to cause me some knee problems.   Walking is just as great. There are some walkers at the running room who walk much faster than I can run, and it is much lower impact! I'm not at all trying to discouraged you from running, just putting it out there that there are many things that will aid in your weight loss that won't cause any problems with your joints.  Good luck, whatever you decide to do.  Getting active has been one of the biggest gifts RNY has given me!

Thanks for posting that, Marny.  I tried the first Couch to 5K podcast this morning, and my knee was already a bit twingy, so I do worry that I'll hurt my knee if I try and take up running.  Maybe I should try speed-walking instead! :)  Lower impact...

Ty everyone for the replies, sorry I have been ``Missing in action``  grandson brought home a lovely flu bug and shared it with me devil.

I agree that it will probably end up being too much for my knees, I wanted to check it out to see what all was entailed.

Will be sticking with my regular routine I guess.
