HI all, am looking for some ideas and help with Protein Coffees...

What do you use, and how exactly are you making it..

Find mine ends up either clumpy or just as it starts to cool the least bit it is gross and slimy on top of coffee.... simply gross lol....

Any suggestions/input is greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

OHh and are you making them HOT drinks or cold... I do find the cold coffees I make are not too bad.. but still could use some ideas... :)

I guess you are trying to add a protein powder to a hot liquid.....does not mix well and leads to clumps.  Do you add cream or milk to your coffee?  What you would do is mix the protein powder with the cold liquid first before adding it to the hot one.

I prefer the Premier Protein chocolate shakes as they are premixed.  Then I find I do not need cream (half decaf, half chocolate shake), and I have a cafe mocha (without whipped cream).

Ty Judy I will try that.

I am normally mixing the protein with a little water or milk, then adding to the coffee.

Also I use a little machine, like a frothier blender type thingy lol, to mix the protein in the water/milk so no lumps there to start.  Also hv used it to mix the protein mixture into the coffee. I know it will lump badly if coffee is too hot, so watch for that. Usually have to heat up the drink a little in microwave after mixed.

I just can not seem to find one that tastes decent hot.

Mine is easy to make, ice, chocolate premier protein shake and 1 heaping teaspoon decaf coffee crystals, blend, enjoy.  I add SF carmel syrup to mine but you could add any flavour you want or not.

I use 12 oz of 1% milk and a heaping scoop of Lean-fit vanilla protein powder (Costco) three squirts of SF English Toffee and 3 squirts of Caramel syrup, couple of minutes in the blender. I use this protein shake everyday in my coffee as my creamer; ends up frothy like a latte.
