I got my package within the month .... Filled out my portion and mailed back right away .... Met with my doctor about 10 days later .... They did their part and sent me for an ECG and a whole bunch of blood work ......  And then the wait ....  For all the blood work results which end they faxed as soon as they got .....

I am just North of Sault St Marie ....

Welcome to the board!  I find the boards so full of info and great people!

I went last summer. It is an all-day session and they really try to stick to their schedule. Bring some food as there isn't much on-site. You will get the manual - something you'll be referring back to a lot! They will explain the surgery in detail and discuss the dangers. A dietician will do a session and so will a social worker. There were probably about 20 people in my group. Get there early so you can go upstairs and register.  I love that the waiting rooms have nice, roomy seats. A clear sign that they know and care about their patients.

I really got a lot out of it as I was still sitting on the fence at that point.

Referral: Jun. 11/13;  Orientation: Jul. 24/13; SW/NP/Dietician: Nov. 2013.  Sleep test Dec. 2014.  Sleep apnea diagnosis Feb. 2014.  2nd sleep test Mar. 2014. Psychiatrist follow-up Mar. 2014. Approved by local centre Apr. 2014.  Sleep apnea follow-up May 2014. OTN apt with Dr. Sullivan Jun. 5/14.  Surgery July 7, 2014.
