Breaking a stall?

HI All.....I've read on here many times that the way to break a stall is to increase your calories. I have a hard time wrapping my head around this concept because at this stage I'm eating between 900 & 1000 calaories at a little over 7 months out. So... I have a couple of questions.

Does increasing calories really work to break the stall?

If yes, do you increase the protein, cartbs or what?

Looking forward to the truth and hearing some of your experiences......Jane

I did not increase my calories. Often stalls are you body going through a shift and you may find you lose3 inches instead of pounds

I'm not a believer in increasing calories to break a stall, especially not carbs. If you do try this method and decide to increase something, let it be protein only. Increasing your water intake will keep things flowing. My best advice? Stalls/plateaus/pauses happen - stick with your plan.

Thanks Karen. I was very skeptical about increasing calories. I think we must become calorie-phobic. At this point I try not to exceed 900-1000 calories and would stress if I thought I had to eat more.  My NUT said stalls don't happen (really?) but she should walk a mile in our shoes.

I'll just wait it out and stick to plan.

Cheers,

Jane

I always find that increasing my time at the gym will break a stall. Specifically cardio. I tend to stick to weights cause cardio is boring but try to increase your activity.

Also I know stress really makes those stalls drag on so just stop weighing for a while and focus on you and anythjng that might need resolving.
