I am thankful for my RNY. But dudes I am up 40 lbs from my lowest. I am not thankful for the regain. I guess I gotta stop eating chips and grazing all day. Not being funny. Just wanna know how everyone is doing. Ontarians out there? Hello? Anyone out there?

Post when you had your surgery and if you've been successful or are struggling. I'm three years out and am terrified of going for my 3 year check up. Don't wanna hear the lectures.

Ok. let's keep this thing alive.

Hi Lucile,

Yes this Ontario board has been dead for the past year.... I was posting menu's with Meggles but she now has 2 little ones so I'm sure she is super busy.

I had my surgery late Nov 2018 and have lost a substantial amount of weight but am finding I'm STUCK. I haven't been going back to old habits but have been at the gym doing weight training pretty heavy so I'm hoping its muscle replacing the fat because I am still losing inches but not lbs.

I'm thinking of hopping over to post on the RNY board since it seems to be very active and they look like a good bunch of supportive helpful peeps.

Hi! I had surgery April 2016. I lost all my weight and then some and currently play with +/- 5 lbs on any given day.

Yes, you should stop eating chips! The struggle is real! Mmmmm I love chips. I do eat them occasionally but try to limit. I little hack I use it just to buy the variety packs and only eat 1 one little bag as a snack as opposed to opening a family size bag and not knowing when to put them down.

I must admit that since the pandemic I have not been going to the gym and wish I could go back. Not for weightloss but general health and well being.

Hang in there. Go for your three year check up and take whatever advise and tips they have to share with you.

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

Hey :-)

14 plus years out. I?ve been up 27 lbs above goal and the way to get back down is about reeling yourself in and making yourself accountable.

it?s all nutrition and food choices. It?s going to be about being real with yourself. Weight loss is always possible but it?s going to require honesty with yourself about how we have to eat as a bariatric patient, holding yourself accountable and food prepping and planning. I don?t eat radically to lose. I focus on whole foods and protein first. I eat all food groups.

When you?re ready, you can do it. No lectures here. Just the real life ups and downs of post bariatric life. No magic. Just hard work and consistency.

good luck

Dawn
