Good Morning PA!

I was thinking that this was going to be a "me" day, but the camp that Dee goes to is going on a trip and she was the only one who wasn't going. I asked her if she wanted to go and she said no, so it is mommy day care for me! YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the pleasure of continuing this all next week too! I guess my summer is officially over. Oh well, it is what it is!?!?

No plans on the horizon today. May make a stop at Target since I found a gift card in one of my purses, I am sure it is only for $5 but if that is all it is I will let Dee pick out something for that.

So, what are you doing today??

Have a GREAT day!!

Beth

 Hi Everyone!

I am anticipating an interesting weekend and next week weather - wise with Isaac approaching. (See my blog at www.thequalityoftheday.com for more on that.)

Anyway, I have to pick up some propane for the little camp stove just in case. I hate power outages so am hoping for the best, but preparing for....well, you know.

Also sending a little back to school care package to Sarah's kids, so need to get to the shipping store.

Other than that, doing a little writing today. I have been much better with my spiritual side, and am doing some scripture study on a more regular basis so will work on that as well. I kind of go in cycles with that and tend to be either very good about it...or totally negligent.

Next weekend I will be in Vermont with Mike for Labor Day and to celebrate his birthday. Hooray! (Oh, I have to get him a present! Put that on the list too!)

TGIF everyone! (And Dee....I hate to tell you this but the day will come when you'd give all you've got for one of those mommy day care days back again. Just one, mind you, but to see her again at this age.)

 Lynn,

Hope you are safe with this upcoming hurricane! We have several family members who live in Florida, so I totally understand your preparation.

Dee actually prefers to be home with me, she is a momma's girl through and through! She really didn't like the camp. Her BFF was not there either so she really didn't mind staying home.

Stay safe!

Love, Beth

Hi Lynn,
I hope the tropical storm shifts so that there is minimal damage to Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Florida.  A dear friend's son graduated from Moody Bible Institute last year and has been teaching in Haiti since then.  I heard there are still many people living in tent cities, as a result of the earthquake.  I also have friends in Florida, like you, and my Discipler, who is just precious to me.  Her family used to live in Bensalem, and we met when we were teaching Sunday School together in Bristol.  Now, they live in Ocala.  When my son took me to Tampa last year for the Phillies Spring Training, she drove all the way to visit me and have breakfast with me.

I am just like you.  Unless I am in a group study, where there is homework we will discuss, I am all or nothing with my personal Bible study.  Are you familiar with Biblegateway.com.  Check it out.  It's a Bible search engine, kind of like a concordance, where you can look up verses, or words, or topics.  You also can choose what translation you want it in.  I sometimes like to compare translations of verses, and see what words are used.

Stay safe.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Afternoon Beth and PA Peeps,
Well, I am late, as usual.  I had to leave this morning to have my Mom drive me to and from a short procedure at my pain specialist's office to work on my back, with anesthesia.  Now I am sore from all the needles they had in my lower back.  Once the pain wears off, I should be good as new.  Now, I am home, resting and taking it easy.

Beth, I agree with Lynn, sooner than you think, you will look back on days like today and realize just how precious they are, because your daughter will become independent, and eventually move out on her own.  My daughter sure did.  When we dropped her off at college, she was thrilled, and I cried like a baby.  Her summers she was off on missions trips with Campus Crusade for Christ, and eventually she met her then boyfriend, now husband.  So, she was traveling between Levittown and Michigan.  Then, July 2001 he proposed to her and they both moved to Michigan for good.  Now, I cherish the times I am out there with her, and the Munchkins.  I'd like to move out there.  We'll see.

Tomorrow, I have a slew of things I'd like to do.  We'll have to see how I feel before I make any decisions in the morning.

Hugs,
Trish
