This is all true and very many factors can cause i****er, protein, exercise, etc... what I did early on was add unflavored protein powder to my shake to be sure I was at least meeting my protein if not exceeding it.  I still see fluctuations when my protein or water are off on any days.

I just purchased some unflavored protein powder myself. Thanks so much for the feedback.

That made me laugh... "more than just a stall". It is a stall, not more than a stall. A stall is no weight loss for an extended period of time. Some people on here say it doesn't qualify as a stall unless it is over 4 weeks. Me personally, especially early out, I would say if you go more than 10 days it is a stall. That being said one week after surgery I went into a 3 1/2 week stall and then at the start of my third month I went into another 2 weeks stall. It did blow my mind because you are eating so little. My advice? Stick with your program, you will be fine... make sure you are getting your protein and water in, and maybe change up your foods, and don't be afraid of a little fat.

Thank you. Starting adding more protein by using unflavored protein powder.

Or add vanilla protein to vanilla yogurt or sugar-free pudding.

I had it in my sugar-free pudding today for lunch. It was so much better than the shakes.

Stalls are common and pretty discouraging. The further out you get and the more you see the pattern, the easier it will be to handle them. Just continue to pay attention and you will be fine. Water and protein first. I use Inspire protein powder (online) and it is pretty good. I would have two or so weeks of not losing anything and would worry but then, would get back into losing again. I am 6 months post op and am just now being able to tolerate meat not mixed with potato. I know potato is horrible but as long as you are aware of what you are doing and tracking it and making decisions and changes based on this, I think you will be fine. The doctor actually told me I was "ahead on the losing curve" so that felt good. Lack of appetite is a problem so eat by the clock, even if it is just a few bites. I had something every three hours (six "meals" per day). It all adds up. Hang in there! You got this!

I say this as kindly as possible. Pasta and mashed potatoes !!!!! Seriously? Please don't encourage newbies to do that. I drank milk, yogurt, soft poached egg. At 12 years post op pasta is rare
