My obgyn said only worry if I have spotting and everyone who has this surgery has irregular periods. Mine were regular for six months, then skipped seven, two in eight, and nothing for 9-14.

I see her in a few weeks. I do not wish to induce a period if she suggests this. I will not let her do surgery(she tried for years to say I needed several surgeries ).   She is the number 1 obgyn in our area but I may switch if I can get in with another.

I just want to know if anyone else had this issue or if it matters that I go 4 or 5 months without a period.

I haven't had one since my surgery 7 months ago.  My surgeon told me to make an appt. with my gyn, which I plan to do at some point.  He said they may want to check my hormone level.  I'm 43, but my mom just went through menopause 5 years ago, so I figure I have a while to go.  I was also very regular up until surgery.  How old are you?

I'm 47 but last year tested negative for premenopause hormones.
