Less than one week hunger
I just had my surgery Tuesday as well and I'm definitely not experiencing stomach hunger but have had some cravings intermittently which I quickly brush aside because I know at this point I cannot do anything about. Have you got a support group nearby that you can turn to for help? I'm a former smoker and I recognized the same addiction type issues with some foods so I knew when the time came I would be in for a struggle at first but it would get easier and I will never be able to safely go back. Hang in there! You've come this far. Try to identify what triggers your hunger and get some strategies in place to deal with them. Keep using the forum too...best support at your fingertips! 😊
I experienced hunger my first week or so, it changes as you go to more solid food.

When I graduated to full liquid (a week after I think) I still hurt too badly to be hungry. But once I was, my full liquid plan included regular oatmeal if made with your skim milk. I was glad I had an actual food that was allowed even if I was not hungry to eat any until soft food stage. Then I just used my skim milk (though now I use Light Vanilla Silk Milk- 70 calories with 6 grams protein per cup) and nuked a packet of my regular instant oatmeal. I would get my allowed amount our and put the rest in the fridge if I wanted some later. Although 2-3 Tablespoons was plenty once enough for me. My dog got so much of my left overs when on those very teeny tiny portions .
