Hi Everyone! Happy Friday Eve! I am exhausted from all of the sunshine I have taken in the last few days (I know, there are worse things to complain about..., lol.) I need a down day today and hope to just spend a lot of time in the hammock in the backyard, reading books and being lazy.

Accountability: Nope--my day turned out 100% different than I thought. I split the insides of a lobster roll and an Ahi Tuna Poke bowl for lunch, then had about 1/2 of a small coffee gelato. I had low(ish) carb chicken nuggets for dinner because I was too tired for anything else and had a peach Bellini, too... I ended up at 1760 calories and never made it to the gym. Whoops.

QOTD: What is the last thing you recommended to someone? I recently discovered the trilogy of books that JK Rowling wrote under her pen name and they are great! I recommended to a friend who was looking for a good new book.

Exercise: Take 2 on going to the gym! Running 1.5 miles and might explore the weight machines...

Just to log in. Things are not good on the home and personal front and not sure whether I am having a break down from pure exhaustion, even after time off last week. We may have to cancel DW's treatment referral because we can't afford it and I feel like such a failure. I have a phone consult with my therapist at noon today but don't know what we will do.

I need to care for my body but my energy is really low. Thankfully there are some Carbmaster yogurts in the fridge and they are easy and healthy.

Not good but that's where I am right now, my OH friends.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear Janet, you are not a failure. There are obstacles in life that are thrown our way that at times require us to reach out for help. That is NOT failure. I know it is easier said than done and I hope things level out for you, you have worked so hard and I am so very impressed at your accomplishments. Hugs.

uh oh....I'm glad you're going to talk to your therapist. Do whatever you can to keep yourself going. Mike's right - people do run into challenges - and not being able to afford DW's treatment is a big one. I agree you are NOT a failure. You can't blame yourself for things that are out of your control. And I also agree that being a caretaker can be extremely stressful. Doing that - plus working full-time -- and keeping up with the house, the pets, etc - that would exhaust anyone! People do manage to muddle through these situations, though - so I'm glad you're reaching out to your therapist for help. I don't have any advice for you, but know that I'll be thinking of you and I'm glad you contacted your therapist.

You are the total opposite of a failure,Janet. You're going through a tough patch like we all do but that does not reflect one bit n you. What you ARE is a strong warrior who has overcome and is overcoming so very many things. Hang in there, honey, and know that better times and a different perspective will come--and in the meantime I'm thinking of and praying for you.

im so sorry Janet...It's so sad that we are in a country with excellent medical care available to us but even middle class citizens can't afford treatment they need without going into serious debt.
My DH had to declare bankruptcy before I met him due to half a million dollars in medical bills he accrued when he had a serious medical issue in his 20's and had limited insurance.

I hope you can find a way to get the treatment she needs and find peace
