Morning kids! Gotta make this quick today. Remember how I said we had a huge storm? My parents are still without power and will be all weekend, so they are coming over today. I need to do a little housekeeping before I catch the 6am train!

Photo Friday Pics are of me and my BFFs in the shop doing some woodworking projects.

Final product...we are making pens! This one is Grim's. I forgot to take a pic of mine before I gave it as a gift.

Accountability: Perfecto! First time in awhile.

QOTD: Do you have a good system for storing Tupperware? I am super OCD about mine and I have a pretty sold system. I am pretty sure Tupperware is Grim's nemesis--it just Maes him so angry, haha, so he leaves it out for me to put away.

Ooh not exactly sure what to say I am eating today. We have a work outing for lunch, and since my parents will be staying over, I will probably take us all for dinner. Best guess:

B: Protein Coffee & 1 Egg Bite

S: Greenridge Beef Stick

L: ??

D: Tacos??

Happy Fri-yay!

I've been up since 1AM because my shoulder pain was pretty intense. I went to the doctor to have my MRI read and I have several partial thickness tears in the rotator cuff. I meet with the surgeon on Monday. I also had my third shot of cortisone and I know it takes days to feel the effect but today I feel awful. Glad it's an in-service day and I just have to sit.

Not much going on this weekend that goodness.

B: low sugar oatmeal made with Fairlife milk

MS: hard-boiled egg

L: insides of an Italian sandwich that DH didn't eat

AS: honeycrisp apple

D: idk

Have a great weekend.

This in-service day will be a miss... they all are. I will be stuffed into a high school classroom with teachers from across the county and because I am on a team of two, and my teaching partner is currently acting as the guidance counselor, I will be alone which makes for a long day. I do have a stack of papers to grade. :)

Oh, and your pen, I received one last year for Christmas from a friend. One of the best gifts ever!

I am really sorry to read about what you are going through with your shoulder. It sounds so painful. I hope that today is gentle on you.

When I had a rotator cuff issues, I opted out of surgery and "healed it" using acupuncture, wraps, support, and physical therapy. It took me close to 2 years but no surgery, and full range of motion. But ...I started acupuncture 1 years after the incident. With no acupuncture first year, physical therapy and cortisone shots did not really help.

In a meantime - kinetic sport tape may help with supporting the joint. Plus wearing support sleeve while I sleep.

Google "kinetic sport tape appication for rotator cuff".

It can help with the mobility and pain.

Rotator cuffs are tricky. A friend of mine who is a surgeon told me it takes about 10 months to heal with surgery he also said it take about 10 months to heal without surgery. My brother used a chiropractor and my friend had the surgery. Surgeon was absolutely right it too about 10 months for both of them to heal. Good luck with whatever you decide.

My husband did five years of chiropractor and therapy and still had pain. After that he had surgery and it still took about six months for the pain to go away.
