Hi Gang! Ok, so I have officially been away from work for one week and a day but it feels like it was 4 months. I can?t even remember what my job is, but I guess I need to remember quickly because I have back to back meetings for most of the day and I am supposed to be leading the agendas on most of them. Ahh! This should be interesting!

The weekend was nice--very very very busy...but nice. I don't necessarily feel rested from this time off, but I got to tackle a bunch of things on my to-do list and that will ultimately feel great.

QOTD: What is usually the culprit when you don?t end up eating what you planned? I think I have 3 issues: First, I am just terrible if my meals are not fully prepped. I can't be trusted to actually cook something if it is on the menu but it is isn't already made. Second, I get so bored with eating the same things so if something is on the menu for a few days in a row I am probably going to start looking for something else after the 4th time I am supposed to have it. My last culprit is deciding to eat out. Last night we decided at the last minute to celebrate my last night of vaca with a dinner out, which was obviously not on my menu. The good thing about eating out is that I will have 2 days of leftovers :)

Good mornin JB and thanks for getting us started this Tuesday morning.

last evening our kitchen sink stopped draining. We've tried everything and got it to very VERY slowly drain. So we'll be waiting around for a plumber today. The rest of the house is draining fine so it's something in the kitchen. This house is a house of horrors when it comes to plumbing and electrical.

It's been two weeks since we had our last shot so we are considered fully vaccinated! Woot!

With the plumbing thing ther is not telling what we'll be able to do today. It's supposed to be hot today. Yesterday was a nice reprieve but oh to short in my opinion! Mentally I think things are on the upswing and I'm hoping it stays that way.

QOTD: emotions.

B: JUST egg, 2 tbs cheese, chicken sausage and coffee

L: chicken enchilada soup and 1 tbs light sour cream

D: boneless beef rib and 1/2 serving of the enchilada soup

S: cheese, roasted seaweed, walnuts or peanut butter

have a great day everyone!

I had a lot of drain problems and was always calling the plumber. Then I tried drain sticks. You pay about 10 dollars for a package with about a dozen and put one in the sink drain once a month. I have been using these for about five years. I did not believe they would really work but they do work. I bought them on Amazon.

Someone JUST recommended that book to me a few weeks ago! Not my genre so I am going to skip it, but the reviews looked fun!

Hi all

ok-first- the bombshell that isn't one- lol I was offered another job and resigned Friday. Then Friday evening HR called and now I've been dealing with them trying to arrange something so I can stay. Meanwhile I'm supposed to start my new job July 19. AND I'm on vacation July 5th week. So all of the sudden they can't let me go and are trying whatever to make me stay. I laid out the concerns I had and now meet with he new CIO today to discuss. So---- we will see but I need to tell that other company no if it's a no pretty darn quickly.

QOTD: After therapy this year, it it only 3 things usually, anxiety, being in a social setting where im yacking and overfeeding, and being 'tired'

food plan today

coffee water egg whites/cheese/ low carb tortilla

fish miso

chicken drums

note sure what else but tummy is not happy right now/

Interesting situation. Do you like your current role and company enough to stay, even though they only decided to address your concerns as you were walking out the door? Do you think that would be sustained change?

my current job-the people are top notch and the work is in HCM arena, versus more financial ERP at the new job. That would be a huge learning curve for me. new company is mid implementation of the new ERP system which means my first job is to learn everything then essentially tier 2 production support for angry people that don't like change. So quite a challenge but they promise 100% remote and the pay is slightly more that current job. down side is they will probably have me pulling lots of hours on salary pay.

it is crap they are doing this now when they realize how me leaving leaves 1 person that is not reliable, I hope they realized the countdown clock is ticking...
