What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

Mornin' Mornin' Friday Fam! I am so happy for the weekend. I know I said this last week too, but weekends just hit differently when commuting all week is involved! I've latched onto some good audiobooks and podcasts to pass the time but traffic just sucks and it is stressful. I'm a typical Boston driver...I have my hand on the horn for half the trip ;)

No real plans for the weekend. I will definitely have to bring home a lot of work but I hope I just get to have some comatose-level down time!!

Here is my contribution to Photo Friday (finally!). It's LITERALLY been raining for 22 out of the last 24 days here. A combo of too much rain and me working long hours with a commute means I have largely ignored my vegetable garden, whoops. I went to check on it yesterday and look at my lettuce! LOL! I have never seen lettuce grow taller than me!

QOTD: Do you untie your shoes before you take them off? Nope. Not once. Never. I kick them off tied every time and then have to untie them before I can put them back on.

I was hungry yesterday! I ate what I planned and added a few extra things, like dried fruit and nuts, and cheese cubes and a hard seltzer. It wasn't a ton of extra food but it added a lot of calories I didn't need.

Food today:

L: Deli Meat & Cheese Roll Up and Almonds

S: Light & Fit Greek Yogurt

D: Marinated Turkey Tips

Good mornin menu crew!

It promises to be a very long day. I've been up since 1. Yuck. I'm really needing better sleep but it's just not happening. Hoping for some cat naps today. We don't have the kids so that's good.

I got a decent walk in yesterday. We went to the park a few blocks away that has three ponds. The kids were able to see some turtles and baby geese and ducks.

QOTD: never!

B: JUST egg, Gorgonzola, chicken sausage and coffee

L: PP shake and raspberries

D: no idea

S: ????

I really need to plan.



Sometimes life is like sunshine and rainbows ... other times it's a big steaming pile of . . .well you know what.

Yayyy for more walking and just being outside. The bonus is that the kids are wearing off some of their extra energy at the same time... all positives!

The week was so long!! But it's finally Friday!!

I didn't get home until midnight and I'm drinking as much coffee as I can before a 6 am con call. I wish a coffee iv was a think.

I have a good weekend planned, my first indoor concert since 2019 tonight, first movie in a theater since 2019 tomorrow (black widow), trx class, Have to do a grocery run for the trip to the mountains with my friends from Maryland that starts Thursday and I have a bunch of work to do on Sunday. Back to back weeks with multiple days for workshops plus all day trainings today is catching up to me. But I'll get caught up Sunday and then I will be the master (hear my evil laugh as you read that).

We are going to a Latin American dim sum style place - I will have the ropa vieja and maybe an arepa or croquette (or half of both!)
