Hi kids! Yesterday was an excruciatingly long day but I think I am starting to get the hang of the new role a little more I guess? Or maybe I am just getting more used to a giant pile of unread/unanswered emails in my life. Either way, it is a ton of work but I am a little less stressed about it so that's cool, I guess.

QOTD: What are your feelings on the Fat Acceptance Movement? I can imagine a lot of us have a complicated relationship with it? I do. On the one hand I am 1 BILLION% behind people not seeing and treating fat people as "less than" or "other", obviously... But on the other hand, I couldn't get past the negative self talk for myself and obviously took extreme measures to combat it.

Food was fine again. Didn't eat exactly on plan, but I didn't eat much, so I think it evened itself out in calories.

B: Protein coffee

S: Costco Egg Bite

L: Chicken Strips

D: Chicken Taco

Good mornin everyone.

I was able to get my new strength of pain patches yesterday. I still didn't sleep well. Hopefully a nap will be in store today. I'm mentally and physically exhausted. I feel like a failure...we'll I am a WLS failure. It's been weighing on my spirit. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I start with great resolve and then fail.

I have an appointment to get a shot in my left eye today. Tomorrow is my psychiatrist. I also have to update financials at the mental health place tomorrow.

Ordered all the adjustable bed stuff yesterday afternoon. The base will be here Friday or Saturday. It's already shipped. I'm hoping they'll move it on to the porch or better yet in the house but I doubt they'll do that. It's going to be heavy. With dogs, even if they're put up, it's unlikely they'll bring it into the house.

QOTD: oh this is a difficult one. I believe everyone deserves love and understanding but I also know the obesity issue in America and the world is really bad...esp with kids that are getting type two diabetes and other adult issues. No one should be made to feel like dirt though. That's not the way you get things to change. So much needs to change. Bad food is cheaper than good for you food and there are to many food deserts in this country.

B: JUST egg, onion, tomato, 2 tbs cheese, two chicken sausages and coffee before

S: L&F yogurt

L: PP oats protein shake

D: shredded pork or GF chicken strips and cauliflower pad Thai veggie mix from Sam's

S: jerky, pear and if needed a slice of cheese

When I get a heavy shipment, I open the box where the delivery person leaves it and carry in one or two pieces at a time, until the box is light enough for me to handle it. Usually it on the front porch.

The last few times that I was expecting something heavy I managed to get to the delivery person and have him put in the garage. Amazon is starting garage delivery which will be much safer than leaving packages on the porch.

I am planning to look into that.

Did you read the article on this site about 12 Rules for Your Journey? I thought it was a very good article on the mental aspect of weight loss. I forwarded the article to my husband because he also starts with good intentions but then makes the choice to eat whatever he wants. He definitely has the all or none attitude when it comes to healthy choices and working out. One misstep results in overindulgences for the rest of the day (and sometimes weeks and months because it means starting a new diet). I know you can make the right choices for yourself, but show yourself some compassion if you make a misstep.

Good morning and happy Tuesday!

a friend of mine is a librarian and she couldn't find anyone local to lead their bookclub on Dune tonight (while she's on vacation) so I'm doing it for her! I'm excited even though it will be my 9,000th hour on zoom today!

qotd - I'm probably in the minority but I don't have an opinion or feelings toward it. It wasn't a movement I was interested in when I was fat and it's not one that I'm interested in now.

I definitely didn't get enough water yesterday so I need to focus on that for sure.

menu is coffee plus half and half x3

pb toast

skyr

Taco ground beef and cheese

A scone from the Scottish festival

have a good day!

I'm back day 2 from non amazing food.no i haven't weighed and don't wanna until at least a week or so. no use messing with my head... yesterday was protein shake, lunch meat with cheese on rice cakes, yogurt, more lunch meat in joseph pitas and a glass of red wine.

today's plan: egg whites, cheese

lunch: unsure

dinner: either shrimp OR hamburger stroganoff - not sure

QOTD: I don't like the weight bias- I remember one time we interviewed someone for a job and he was very overweight and my boss at the time said, he can't even walk up a flight of stairs he is a health risk. so we hired someone else. and i was very overweight at the time.
