Wheeeee, today is my Friday after all!!!! I completely forgot that I had an RMV appointment tomorrow for the license that has been expired for 2 months. MA is still doing appointment-only for anything in person and it has been impossible to find an appointment. I made this over a month ago and I'll have to travel about 2 hours to get there. Isn't that crazy for something that is required?? But I will be happy to have my Driver's License again!

Thanks for your supportive words yesterday. I am really amazed at how petty human beings can be. I'm also amazed at how much I don't care. I mean, I care, of course, but I think that in my 30s I would have been so upset about it, but I just literally don't have any ***** left for people who are behaving badly for petty and stupid reasons.

QOTD: Do you wear pajamas out of the house? Ahhh, I can't do it. I want to be one of those people who wears PJ bottoms to the grocery store but I can hear my mother screaming in my ear and I don't think I could ever do it... I can barely get myself out to the store in yoga pants.

I am happy(-ish) to report that I have officially lost 6lbs in the last few months. The (-ish) is because, A.) It sure doesn't come off as quick and easy as it used to, post-op! and B.) I still have a ways to go before I feel like I am back to myself. But nonetheless, I am happy to report that I am heading in the right direction, again.

I don't have any breaks between 9:30 - 2:30, and I'm not sure how eating is going to work, exactly? Planning to eat breakfast closer to 9 so I am not hungry later and just have snacks that I can eat with one hand while driving home.

B: Protein Coffee

S: Costco Egg Bite

Good Morning!

Today marks my one year surgiversary! How did we get here? Wow! Time flies. I've reached my goals & I feel pretty good about it. Maintaining is a lot harder then it would sound (I am still learning) but I have zero regrets! Cheers to many more years! When did you start reintroducing alcohol? I wasn't a huge drinker pre op.. but with the holidays coming up I'd really enjoy a half a glass of wine with my friends.. I know my program discourages any kind of alcohol consumption (even though the SW told me if I was gonna drink, go slow and be with people I trust)

QOTD: PJs belong at home only. It is my opinion that it is disgusting to wear your Panama's outside of the house for errands.

M1: fairlife latte, egg whites, salsa & cheddar

m2: yogurt, honey, blueberries, granola

m3: left over philly stuffed peppers w a babybel

I did it after I hit goal. I'm glad you are aware of how much harder alcohol hits post WLS, it is no joke at all. Having said that, I do still enjoy an adult beverage.

Happy surgiversary!!

Happy One Year and job well done!! I waited about 8 months. Had permission from my surgeon AND was very careful to be with safe people at home when I tried it. In the new days, I would only pour like 2 ounces of wine, and that would last me all night while I sipped. I would say that I am one of the lucky ones and don't have an exaggerated response to alcohol, and I truly enjoy a glass of wine or an Old Fashioned, but truthfully, if I had a bad reaction like when I ate that damn butter cake, maybe I would not drink quite so many calories. So it's a double edged sword for me. One more life balance thing for me to understand and control.

Cheers!!!

Happy Surgiversary! Regarding alcohol, I didn't drink much pre-surgery but haven't had even a sip since.

I waited 2 years but they are correct be very careful. However I love being a cheap drunk. If you want a can of something I love the new Alcoholic Arnold Palmers they have no carbonation so I can fit in with the cool kids.
