Sorry Mel. If all you want to do is sleep and nap than that is what you should do. Your body can only take so much and if that is what gives you the most relief do it. Right now, it is a whatever it takes game until you are healed. Good luck with all of it.

Having never had external staples, all I can think of are the ones from an industrial style staple gun and even contemplating that makes me want to cry on your behalf....especially twice.

That is exactly what they are. Industrial style staples that pinch to high heaven going in, staying in, and coming out. They are miserable.

Just...no? I'm sure they exist for a reason but the removal of something like that seems...counterproductive. And more like torture. Ow.

Melody, how does this impact you getting your pain pump filled? Do they have to wait until the staples are out? I hope not!!

It's still tentatively scheduled for tomorrow. I have to see the neurosurgeon before I have it filled to make sure it's ok. If it is indeed looking ok I'll get it filled tomorrow. If I'm not able to get it done this week I'll have to wait two more weeks.

I'm praying it goes smoothly!

So sorry about the staples. Hope it is better soon. I am lately obsessed with learning about Egypt so, will be looking at that on Disney Plus. I think my next adventure is going to be a cruise on the Nile River to visit temples and experience Egypt history. Just keeping my fingers crossed that my health is good enough to do that. It sucks to have to consider whether I will be up to doing somethings when all my life I was always healthy and physically able to do whatever I wanted.

I am glad that I did the things I wanted during my life and did not put them off. You never know what you will feel like as you grow older. Enjoy every day that you can.
