QJB-I am happy your talk with your mom went well and she was willing to work with you to come up with a solution! I do hope your cookie business survives this crisis. You are so very talented.

Not much planned for the weekend. DH has to work in the hospital this weekend (he is a Nurse Practitioner with a Cardiology practice so has hospital coverage and rounds on Saturday and Sunday). I wanted to go skiing but looking at the weather report, it is going to be single digits temperatures. Too cold for me. I will plan on getting my Pilates and yoga morning workouts, prep food for the coming week. DH's birthday is Tuesday so I might make him a cake vs. purchasing one. I might go to Costco today-getting low on TP and out of frozen chicken breasts.

QOTD: Coffee wise I drink cold brew coffee, trenta size (30 oz), 10 shots sf vanilla bean, splash of half n half, 5 caramel flavored stevia. Yep, I like it sweet. I am not much of a tea drinker. On occasion I will drink a warm tea but want some sf sweetener in it. I do like the Starbucks Passion Tea (cold) with 4 stevia in a 30 oz sized drink.

My pictures are of me and DD's trip to Denver. 1-concert venue, 1-Coors Brewery Tour, 1 downtown Golden Colorado.

Hello everybody.

Just really quick I am trying to work but the new system is down, so I thought I'd jump on. The Brass Roots snack's that were on Shark Tank last Friday are a great alternative for chips. They are Vegan a bag is 130calories and 8g protein. I recommend. I had the doctor appt to look at my hand said it is not infected I just bruised it at hit class Saturday, and I should stay away from that for a while and stick with treadmill and elliptical.

I got Mom duty tonight because tomorrow I have a seminar for the nonprofit on Saturday Morning and Saturday evening, I got a Night at the races Fund Raiser. My horse's name is Pony Soprano. Sunday looks lie church and not much of anything else.

OK system back up got to go.

QJB the AI looks good on you.

Brightest Blessings

Chrissy

Mornin' All!

late posting this morning because I didn't get up until around 7:30 and had an early water aerobics class. It's snowing now (although they say it won't amount to much today), and we're supposed to get 2-5" tomorrow, so I'm planning to just stay home the rest of the day and most of the weekend. I'm supposed to go to this potluck lunch thing tomorrow, though - although I'm kind of hoping they'll reschedule it. So today I will be doing reading for my classes and making protein muffins and a kugel for the thing tomorrow, in case it's not cancelled (I checked to see if this type of kugel is freeze-able, and it is. YAY! I was envisioning getting stuck with a whole pan-full of kugel if the thing is cancelled tomorrow, and no way could we (or should we) eat all of that. But since we can toss it in the freezer, I'll go ahead and make it).

QOTD: I drink tea (when I drink it, which isn't often) plain. I like it strong and bitter. With hot coffee I always add half & half (or milk if I'm away from home and that's the only option). I can't stand sweet coffee if it's hot - but oddly, I always add SF syrup to iced lattes (so...in other words, sweet is OK as long as the coffee is cold!)

B: plain skyr with fruit compote, coffee with half & half

MS: ha ha - I had some extra mashed sweet potatoes (nothing in them - just sweet potatoes), so I made a sweet potato protein shake (added pumpkin spice and vanilla protein powder)

L: I may have one of those Jimmy Dean light breakfast sandwiches (the ones with egg whites and turkey sausage)

MS: pumpkin yogurt

D: ?? Maybe the 1/2 Impossible Burger I keep putting on my menu but have yet to eat - or 1/2 a fake chicken patty. And vegetables.

have a great day, everyone!

Love the pictures. I'm glad you got good outcome from lunch. Still, you would need to sell more cookies.

QOTD: I drink cold brewed coffee, either I made concentrated or buy condensed cold brewed coffee ("Cusa Tea and Coffee" or Javy). I put Miralax in my morning coffee, L-glutamine (protects and rebuilds gut lining), and a few grams of complex collagen proteins (3-4 gr per 16 oz of coffee). I drink 2 coffees like that in the morning. Afternoon coffee have some mushroom mix, plus l-glutamine and collagen. Teas- black strong English teas or flavored black or green teas. I make them in thermoses for the whole day and drink during the day. I like both coffee and tea warm, not hot and not cold.

The generic Synthroid I take gives me nausea, and I still feel tired. My doc said that I should feel improvement in energy in 1-2 months. ugh.
Accountability: yesterday I started getting hungry around 3. ate late lunch, then apple and dinner was smoked turkey, mayo and pickles.

today:

B: coffee, tea

L: hard cheese

S: apple or grapefruit.

D: ??? I forgot to get fresh spinach because that has been a great choice as a side dish for me. Spinach on butter with feta. yum. If I work late - I may have some meat-egg omelet, or smoked turkey with salad or pickles. If at home? not sure... I will need to figure something out.

Exercise: probably none...

This one is old, but most people with chronic pain can relate.
